As we wonder what kind of act could possibly follow the past few years, we find 2023 upon us. For our part, we are looking forward to another wonderful season, adding to what has worked well and tempering that which has not. We will be continuing our easy pre-checking in procedure; look for your name and room number on the master board on the office door then head to that room looking for the corresponding yellow sticky on the window. That door will be unlocked, your key and receipt will be on the table inside; lights and heat, if needed, will be on.
We do a light check-over on you room during your stay. If you would prefer no interference on our part, just hang the "Do Not Disturb" placard.
PLEASE make sure we have an accurate count as to the number of people and dogs staying in your suite. Please note we have, begrudgingly, raised the rate for any extra guests over two to $15/head and the cost for the pups is now $20/night.
Lastly, we are still part of Trip Advisor's TRAVELERS CHOICE elite group of the best-rated 10% of lodging establishments in the world!
We get some really nice reviews from some really nice people.
You can see some of them here:
We do have a good time up here, working with hopes you might experience the same. We are located centrally in a great area with access to plentiful hiking, fishing, mountain biking, disc golf, the Treehouse Adventure Park, historic areas, access to some of Colorado's famous Fourteeners, the nationally known Big Foot store and museum and a national-class shooting range.
Our 10 double-queen suites remain the same, along with our upgraded single. We keep adding new touches, working to remain non-corporate in our feel, and continue to hand over rooms to you are just as clean as possible.
Also, remembering we are located at over 8000 feet, where cold is much easier to achieve and hot, we do not have air conditioning though we do have some portable swamp coolers for those who like it extra-cool during those few summer days when the temps are up.
We have also changed the fireplace regulations in several of the suites with our on-going efforts to deal with those who do not understand completely how they work. Fires are no longer allowed in unit #1
This video comes via a new friend to the Rocky Mountain Bailey lodge, Curtis Fleming and his professional camera crew. Here to film a segment up the road at Boxwood Gulch for his popular fishing show, Fly Rod Chronicles, he and his crew also filmed and produced this video for us. Curtis was named the 2018 American Sportsman of the Year and, shortly after, inducted into the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame!
